Ladies through to Investec Trophy Quarter Finals this Sunday

The Ladies 1s have made their way through to the Quarter Finals of the Investec Trophy with a 5-1 won over Norwich, match report below: After 2 weeks of cancellations because of the cold weather. Broxbourne played Norwich city 1st team, who are in the equivalent league north division in the ladies trophy match. Broxbourne feeling a bit rusty found it a struggle to put passes together but 15 mins in Emily Wilkins still managed to put 2 goals away in quick sucession against the run of play. Replacement Astro & Lighting Upgrade

Thanks to England Hockeys’  Capital Investment Programme (CIP) we have been successful in securing a £50,000 grant  and along with a loan from Greene King which has now been signed off  – we are ready to start the pitch replacement and upgrade of the lights. A meeting between the pitch contractor, McArdle, the lighting contractor, CU Phosco, representatives from the Sports Club and the Project Management Company – MUGA UK has been arranged on 17th February. The project is due to start on 19th March 2012 and completion is scheduled for Friday 27th April – 6 weeks. The Astro will therefore be

GB v Argentina Champions Trophy Final coverage

Great Britain have made it through to their first ever Champions Trophy Final tonight where they will face hosts, and World Number 2′s, Argentina. GB beat Germany 2-0 to claim their place, Argentina had to go the distance in their rather feisty semi final and the match against the Netherlands went to penalty shuttles, after golden goal extra time failed to break the 2-2 deadlock.
