GB captain Kate Walsh and midfield maestro Helen Richardson, along with their medals, were very popular with the clubs members young and old. Broxbourne were one of only a handful of clubs across the country to be awarded a Great Britain player visit as part of the Harvester Club Weekend, which see clubs open their doors to potential new recruits and to people just wanting to give hockey

Rule changes from 1st September 2012

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) have announced new rules which will come into effect in England on 1st September 2012. Full details of their announcement are below: Rules of Hockey Based on recommendations from the FIH Rules Committee, the FIH Executive Board has agreed changes to the Rules of Hockey. Changes to the Rules of Hockey (with reference to the numbered Rules in the 2011 edition) are as follows: Rule 8.1: method of scoring. Come and support Great Britain at our ‘Hockey House’

We can confirm that you will be able to watch every Great Britain Olympic match in the clubhouse. We’ll be receiving a goodie pack from England Hockey to dress up the place, including bunting and even some life size cutouts of GB players! So come down, have a drink, watch the games  and make sure to wear red to support our boys and girls! Match Schedule is as follows (all games will be shown live in their entirety on one of the 24 BBC Olympic channels, these can be accessed by Freesat channels 150-173,  Sky channels 450-473 and Virgin 574-597

Olympic Ticket Ballot

We now have our 26 tickets allocated by England Hockey and it is intended to hold a ballot for them in the club on the weekend of 21st/22nd July. The tickets are all for the evening of Tuesday 7th August (session H030) starting at 1900 and finishing at 2245. The 2 games are (Men) GB v Spain and Germany v New Zealand.
