Juniors
Welcome to the home of Broxbourne Juniors!
We have fantastic qualified coaches, a great pitch, supportive parents and best of all brilliant Children at Broxbourne and over the past eight years have grown steadily to become a substantial centre for Junior Hockey in Herts.
Our training focuses on fun and good core skills and runs throughout the season.
Many of our children and young adults go on to represent Hertfordshire and higher and are also encouraged to participate in and integrate into senior Mens and Ladies teams when appropriate.
All our young players have the chance to play in matches and we enter league teams in each age group, enter a good variety of tournaments and arrange friendly games suitable for all levels.
Broxbourne Junior Hockey Academy
We are well underway with the organization of the Junior Academy. We will be providing an hours fitness and conditioning based around speed agility and quickness (SAQ) designed specifically for hockey players for U16′s to U18′s. The long term aim in this is to (a) attract more juniors in the U16 – U18 groups and (b) add to their skills and fitness to support the senior sides. The underlying ethos of the academy is to coach the England Hockey Single System to prepare them for JAC/JDC and JRPC selection
The U8′s to U14′s are coached by Rob Dyer and Mark Rudd, assisted by a number of other coaches. If any members would be willing to help out on a Sunday then get in contact with Rob, any time you are able to give will be much appreciated.
Simon Spencer takes the U16′s and U18′s coaching on a Wednesday evening and this season 2011/12, there will be an increased emphasis this season on fitness for this age group.
Wednesday Training (From 7th September)
U16′s – Boys and Girls 17:45 -18:45
U18’s Boys and Girls – 19:00 – 20:00
Sunday Training (From 18th September)

hi
can you tell me if you are taking on any new players in the under 10s boys? My son has recently started playing hockey at school and has expressed an interest in playing hockey.
Thank you
