Published on 15 March, 2012 by in Ladies, News

As the season is drawing to an exciting conclusion, I wanted to make you all aware of the remaining matches:-

Saturday 17th March

Brox 3s – Home V Tring 2s 10.30am

Brox 1s – Away @ Bishop’s Stortford 12pm

Brox 4s – Welwyn 3pm @ Woodson

 Saturday 24th March

Brox 3s v Luton at the John Warner alternative home pitch at 10:30am

Brox 1s   away at Bromley and Beckenham.

All these games will count towards the Fantasy League so make the necessary adjustments to your teams!!!

If you haven’t already heard, Broxbourne have won the Herts County Vets tournament and will therefore represent Hertfordshire in the East regional round. This is a fantastic achievement for the ‘oldies’ and the first time in the history of Broxbourne Hockey Club. The tournament will be held on Sunday 25th March in Canterbury.

The astro is being replaced from Monday 19th March and so there will be no more training on Monday or Tuesday.

The presentation/end of season ‘do’ will be on Tuesday 17th April. If you are lucky enough to be in possession of a player of the season trophy please can you give it to your captains. Who will be this year’s recipients???? Format for the evening is dinner/awards without the formal speeches. I will give captains further info once arrangements have been confirmed.

We will be entering 2/3 teams into our Summer league so please let your captains know if you would like to be included in these squads.

Please put Tuesday 15th May in your diaries, it is the AGM. It would be good to have the Ladies section well represented.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to a very enjoyable and successful season to date.

Hope to see lots of you on Tuesday 17th.

Love Shrimpy
